Iran Oil Exports would Continue without Sanctions Waivers: President
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the country’s oil exports would continue even if Washington had not granted waivers to Iran’s oil buyers.
Speaking on Monday evening, Mr. Rouhani said his administration was faced with sanctions on the beginning of his work in office when Iran’s oil exports had diminished to roughly a million barrels per day.
“But the administration ran the country under those limitations until 2015 that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was struck,” he said.
He further underlined granting of sanctions waivers to oil buyers from Iran, adding the country would continue its sales with or without the exemptions.
