US Distancing from Cutting Iran Oil Export Delusions
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said the US was distancing from delusions of bringing Iran’s oil exports to zero given the realities of the global economy.
Addressing the supreme council for coordination of the three government powers on Saturday, the official touched on the US sanctions on Tehran’s oil exports.
Assessments show that the US government will fail to force other countries to cut economic ties with Iran and has failed in depicting a dark future for Iran and creating a negative atmosphere in the global community against the country.
Mr. Rouhani’s remarks came one day ahead of imposition of fresh US sanctions on Tehran’s oil exports.
The Trump administration announced on Friday that it was exempting eight countries from bruising sanctions that the United States was reimposing against Iran.
