Over 14 m barrels gas condensates exported from South Pars
Managing Director of Oil Terminals Company Peirouz Mousavi said on Tuesday that a total of 14.4 million barrels of gas condensates have been exported during December 22, 2017-January 21, 2018.
He also acknowledged about new record registration in berthing of oil tankers and loading gas condensates in South Pars region.
Mousavi said 27 oil tankers berth in SPM ( Single Point Mooring ) in South Pars , loading 16.43 million barrels of gas condensates and simultaneous loading of three oil tankers in SPM No.1, 2, 3 during December 22-January 21, which is a new record registered after 15 years.
He added that also in this period 3.3 million barrels were sent to 'Persian Gulf Star Refinery of gas condensates and 5.2 million barrels to Nouri Petrochemical Company.
Mousavi said while average number of loading oil tankers in other months of this year was 18 tankers, but in the period of Dec 22-Jan 21 by 50 percent increase reached to 27 tankers.
Average figure for loading in the first nine months of the year (beginning March 21, 2017) was 13.5 million barrels monthly, while in the period of Dec 22- Jan 21 by 21 percent increase reached to 16.43 million barrels, he said.
South Pars Gas Field is the largest gas reserve in the world, between Iran and Qatar common border line with 9,700 square kilometers area, which 3,700 kilometers belong to Iran.
Iran's oil and gas condensates export is around 2.6 million barrels a day, one fourth of which is exported to Europe.
