“It’s an idea and I can’t give an exact number, but considering the serious negotiations underway I speculate that around ten new oil contracts will be signed by the end of the current Iranian calendar year of 1396,” said Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, the Oil Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Monday as Iran’s national radio reported.
“All the talks are being run smoothly and none of the cases of negotiations is obstructing the others,” asserted the senior official recounting that the procedure is followed according to the priority of each case.
“The project to develop the oil layers of the South Pars field, the joint field of Azar, and the fields of Sohrab, Abteymour, Mansouri, and Azadegan are the top priorities of the ministry,” affirmed the Iranian oil minister when asked what the most important objective of the oil ministry is after the multi-billion IPC signed with Total for investment in Phase 11 of South Pars Gas Field.
