“The company has received a plan to export West Karoun crude oil and this operation is set to start after preparing such infrastructure as Genaveh-Kharg pipeline and an export terminal,” Pirouz Mousavi said.
This pipeline has currently capacity to export 1.2 to 1.5 mb/d of oil, adding it can currently handle 700,000 b/d.
Mousavi said that Iran’s Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) was studying a project to delivered blended oil of various API gravity.
He said that Iran owes 70% of its revenue to IOTC terminals.
