Iran’s refinery products to reach 3mbd by 2021
Minister of Petroleum, Bijan Zangeneh, said on Monday that Iran’s refinery products will reach three million barrels per day by the end of the Sixth Five-Year Economic Development Plan (2016-21) based on the pre-scheduled plan and targets.
Zangeneh made the remark in ceremonies marking start of executive operations on the project for development and stabilization of the capacity of Abadan refinery.
He said Iran’s refinery capacity is now 1,700,000 barrels per day.
He added that Persian Gulf Star Refinery has a share of 360,000 barrels, Siraf Refinery 480,000 barrels, Shiraz Refinery 100,000 barrels, Abadan Refinery 150,000 barrels, Jask Refinery 150,000 barrels in the total output.
“Our orientation in refinery products is exports because we will not have any need other than gasoil and gasoline and that by the transportation sector, this year.”
