These electronic devices which previously were being provided by foreign companies, were manufactured based an order by Iranian Oil Terminals Company (IOTC), Javad Taher Afshar, head of Academic Jihad at the university told IOTCO.

Referring to importance of the device for oil terminal, he said the measurement device had been installed in Kharg Island oil terminal and could be produced for other oil terminals of the country if they offer it.

He noted that the device gets the data as input through temperature, pressure and density sensors, measures the amount of oil being transferred, and displays the exact figure an any moment through linkage to a central system.

Up to now, more than 30 measurement electronic devices have been launched in oil terminals, which in turn have reduced reliance on foreign companies on the one hand and have boosted domestic capabilities for manufacturing electronic devices needed by oil industry on the other hand.
